Asking for a Friend
by Lauren Blakely
About the book
I was only trying to help a friend. I swear. I was legit asking for a friend who was finally ready to date again.
I knew what she wanted in a man — smart, funny, ambitious, well-read (no, the sports section doesn’t count), and plays a wicked game of badminton.
So I did what any good friend would do. Posted it for her. It seemed like a good idea at the time — I’d weed through the candidates, and bring her my top picks.
But then he responded.
Is it wrong to date the guy I screened for my bestie? Not asking for a friend.
The LuvBooks Review
Whip smart, refreshing, and laugh-out-loud funny, Asking for a Friend is officially my top ‘feel good’ read for the year.
This is my first Lauren Blakely title and I am in love! This book is so full of laughter, joy and flirtation that I never wanted it to end. Amy and Linc have such genuine chemistry. Their flirtatious dialogue ping-ponging back and forth was absolute perfection. I kept waiting for a plot twist to happen and break the dizzy spell, but it never came and just got better and better. What a delicious ending! Epilogue: This is definitely a series I will visit again.
Lauren Blakely really delivers with this lively romantic comedy! I adored our humorous Amy Summers and her love for impressive words that really bring out her sass and verbally witty banter while Linc, offers a playful eloquent intelligence that is hard not to love and offers some steamy hot chemistry when put together. I adore the dual point of views and all of the layers of laughter. You won’t be disappointed with this one!
